Happy 1st. Day Of Summer!!!!

Hope you all are enjoying your first day of summer 2014!!!!
Not sure why but time just seems to zoom by for me, the days go by so fast most times I don't even know what day of the week we are at.....
We have been having a tighten your purse strings types of weeks lately, You know where you have to watch every penny and just hope you don't bounce! I HATE living that way, I soooo enjoy being able to go to the resale shops and browse around and if I find something it really makes my day to buy a goodie here and there. I have had to table that and it has really put me in a funk. Today as for a change of pass, my husband got off of work early and he  decided to take me to a few resale shops in our area and it sure did make me happy!!!! I found these hot as heck shoes/booties!!

They were $6.00, they are like brand new, the bottoms are clean as a whistle. Now they are a size 6 1/2 and I usually wear a 7 1/2 but I tried them on and they are snug but wearable. I LOVE them, now I just need to get my husband to take me out some where so I can wear them!
I am a little shoe crazy lately, I just love having hot shoes I can't help myself. My husband LOVES when I wear them so it is a win win situation : )
We had fun thrift store shopping (or I should say I had fun), I bought the hot booties, also since it was buy one get one free I got another pair of flat black sandals, another bikini ($4.00), a tank top ($2.00), my husband bought a pair of sneakers ($5.99)  a vhs tape which I think was .50 cents. Since we are in the no money mode I have to curtail my thrift store shopping but today I spent under $20.00 and it really put a smile on my face. Sometimes you just have to splurge a little : )

Our Get-Away At Dream Inn, Daytona Beach

I can NOT express how much I enjoy when my husband and I get to go on our little adventures! We try and find a spot for us to go to each month, We only spend one night but it really gives us that boost that is needed. We have found that by booking on a Sunday night it is cheaper and a little less crowded. Of course my husbands boss is not too happy about him taking off a Monday, but if he comes back from our trips a happier man I think it is a win all around : )

As you can see our room was beautiful!!! We loved the Jacuzzi in the room!!! It made for ALOT of fun : ) The room cost around $120.00 and we had added chilled champagne for another $15.00, doesn't that look romantic?

And the sunrise was to die for!!!

A tip that we learned in our mini vacations travels, try and find an early as possible check-in time. Most hotel/motels are around 3pm which ruins the whole day. The Dream Inn has a 1pm check-in which works out great, you get to enjoy the pool & room to it's full advantage : )

You don't have to travel far but if you want to add a little spark to your marriage I suggest mini get-ways, they do wonders for adding spice to your relationship!

We have gone on a few that I haven't posted about yet, I can't wait to tell you about them.
